Eligibility & How To Apply

Kindergarten enrolments in Boroondara are currently managed by the  Central Registration Scheme. The Boroondara Council website includes information regarding the allocation of kindergarten places and the process for submitting an enrolment application.

Enrolment applications can be completed here .  Applications close at the end of term 2 for enrolment the following year.

Children may be enrolled for three and/or four-year-old kindergarten on their second birthday. To be eligible for three-year-old kindergarten, children must turn three by April 30th in the year they attend kindergarten. For four-year-olds, the child must turn four by April 30th in the year they attend the four-year-old session.

Kinder Fees 2025

Surrey Hills Preschool is pleased to participating in the government's 'Free Kinder Program'.

There are additional programs available to our four-year-old programs, these are optional and details for these groups are available here.

Please enquire with our Enrolments Officer for further information.

In 2025, children enrolled in BLUE & RED Groups are able to access optional After Hours Care. Please refer to our FAQs and our timetable page for full fees and conditions.

ADDITIONAL COSTS

A refundable security deposit of $300 is required to secure your place.
- A voluntary payment of $300 per child/year is requested from all families to help cover incursion/excursion costs, kindergarten maintenance and purchasing of resources.

Families can nominate to put the $300 holding deposit towards the voluntary payment or complete a refund request form to arrange the refund - this form will be sent after commencement at kinder in term one

After Hours Care Program - BLUE & RED GROUPS ONLY
Extended Kindergarten program - applicable for our four-year-old kindergarten students.
